RANGPUR, Aug 26, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 25 bottles of foreign liquor and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw from Gachbari village under Sadar police station in Nilphamari last night.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-2 from the Nilphamari Camp set up a check post in the area and intercepted the auto-rickshaw around 10:30 pm, said a RAB press release today.

During the search, the elite force recovered the liquor from the vehicle and arrested the duo from the spot.

The detainees were identified as Md Kamruddin alias Kamu, 35, of Puratan Babupara village under Saidpur police station in Nilphamari, and Md Majnu Islam, 39, of Subora village under Kotwali police station in Dinajpur.

Later, the arrested persons and the seized items were handed over to Nilphamari Sadar police station for legal action.
