RAB arrests 2 with 9.25-kg touchstone from Dinajpur

RANGPUR, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 has seized a 9.25-kg precious touchstone idol and arrested two alleged smugglers from village Bherbheri Amrat Shah under Khansama police station of Dinajpur district. 
 
On a tip off, an operational team of the Crime Prevention Company-1 of RAB-13's Dinajpur camp raided a house in the village, seized the touchstone and arrested the two persons at 1:05 pm on Monday, a press release said here this afternoon.
 
The detainees were identified as Md Abdul Majed, 50, of village Bherbheri Amrat Shah under Khansama police station and Md Ali Azam, 65, of village Bhogdoma under Birganj police station of Dinajpur district.
 
The elite force handed over the arrested persons along the seized touchstone to Khansama police station in Dinajpur, the release added.
