MEHERPUR, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed when a truck hit his motorcycle in Ibadatkhana area under Gangni upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Maklesur Rahman, son of Abdur Rahman,57, a resident of Saharbati village of the upazila.

The accident took place this afternoon on the Gangni-Kathuli road when a truck hit a motorcycle from behind, leaving its rider Maklesur injured, said Bani Israel, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gangni Police Station. 

Later, locals rescued him and took him to the Gangni Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
