21 juvenile gang members arrested in Cumilla

CUMILLA, Aug 30, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested 21 members of a juvenile gang 'King Square' with huge country-made weapons while preparing for a showdown in the city on Friday evening.

They were arrested from KTCC ground in the city's housing area, said Mohinul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Cumilla Kotwali Model Police Station.

He said the group was preparing for a showdown in the area by announcing it on social media Facebook.

Being informed, a police team from Kotwali Model Police Station conducted a drive there and arrested 21 members of the group. 

During the drive, various local weapons including chapatis, Chinese axes, hockey sticks and iron rods were seized from their possession.

The detainees are between 16 and 20 years old. 

A case was filed in this connection. They were produced before the court today.
