Four unauthorized food companies fined Tk 5 lakh in Kishoreganj

KISHOREGANJ, Aug 30, 2025 (BSS) - A special mobile court jointly led by senior judicial magistrate and safe food court judge Ariful Islam today fined a total of Tk 5 lakh to four food processing companies in Kishoreganj.

The fines were imposed for processing foods without having trade licenses and preparing in unhygienic and unhealthy way.

The companies are Tasin Food located at Zashodal market in Kishoreganj Sadar upazila, Chand Food located at Gochihata bazar in Kotiyadi upazila, Shonar Madina Food located at Maijjhati bazar under Pakundia upazila and Hozaifa Bakery located at Dwariakandi Bus stand under Kuliarchar upazila.
 
During the drive the magistrate recovered and destroyed unhealthy and harmful colors and rotten egg.

Tasin Food was fined with TK 2 lakh and other three companies were fined TK 1 lakh each.

Kishoreganj Safe Food officer Md Ahsraful Islam Talukdar, district sanitary inspector Sangkar Chandra Pal and team from RAB and police were present during the day long drive.
