GAIBANDHA, AUG 31, 2025 (BSS) - Gobindaganj Thana police in a raid recovered a touchstone-like statue from a house located at Fokirganj under Katabari union of Gobindaganj upazila in the district on Friday. 

Police said, acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid at the house of one small businessman, Rafiqul Islam (locally known as Vangribyabsayee) in the village and recovered a touchstone-like statue from his house in the afternoon.

Rafiqul fled the house sensing the presence of police. 

Officer in charge of the Thana Bulbul Islam said that after testing by the experts it would be confirmed whether it is a touchstone statue or not.
