NOAKHALI, Aug 31, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed in a road accident at Afania Bazar under Begumganj upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Kausar Islam, 50, a resident of Mirwarishpur union of the upazila.

The accident took place around 11 am when a microbus hit Kausar from behind while he was getting into an auto-rickshaw.

Critically injured Kausar was taken to Noakhali General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officer-in-Charge of Begumganj Model Police Station Dewan Liton confirmed the matter.
