Senior Journalist Waheduzzaman passes away

NILPHAMARI, Aug 31, 2025 (BSS) - Senior Journalist Waheduzzaman Nanna, also an adviser of Nilphamari Press Club, died this morning due to a cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical College and Hospital.

He breathed his last at 7am today at the age of 66.

He left behind his wife and a son and a host of relatives to mourn his death.

He was buried at central municipal graveyard following a Namaz-e-Janaza after Asr prayers.

He was an inhabitant of upazila Sarak in Nilphamari town. 

Waheduzzaman, who was the executive editor of Daily Nilkatha, a regional daily published from Nilphamari, also worked as Nilphamari correspondent at the Daily Rupali and Daily Janata, published from Dhaka.
