Man killed after being hit by train in Bogura

BOGURA, Sept 2, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed after being hit by a local train near Azizul Haque Government College in the town this morning.

The deceased was identified as Nirab, 30, son of Aziz, a resident of Alirhat area under Ullapara upazila in Sirajganj district.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 10 am when Nirab, who used to sell fuchka, was standing on the railway line and was hit by a train. He sustained critical injuries.

Local people rescued him and rushed him to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, where on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Sub-Inspector Rezaul of Bogura Railway Police Outpost confirmed the incident and said the body has been sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
