Man held with 17.6-kg ganja in Kurigram

RANGPUR, Sept 3, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested an alleged drug dealer with 17.6 kg of ganja from village Naodanga under Phulbari Police Station of Kurigram district on Tuesday night. 

The detainee was identified as Md Ekramul Haque, 45, son of late Hazrat Ali of the same village. 
 
Based on information, an operational team of the RAB-13's Crime Prevention Specialized Company conducted a raid at the house of Ekramul, seized the ganja and arrested him red-handed from his possession at 9:15 pm, a press release said today.
 
The elite force handed over the arrested person along with the seized ganja to Phulbari Police Station, the release added.
