PM's directive leads to initiative to resolve electricity problem in Karail

DHAKA, April 15, 2026 (BSS) - Initiatives have been taken to resolve the long-standing electricity problem in the Karail Beltola Unit area of the capital's Banani following a directive from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

PM's Private Secretary-2 Abdul Rahman Sani visited the area this afternoon and inspected different parts of the locality and gathered firsthand information about the existing problems, said PM's Deputy Press Secretary Zahidul Islam Rony.

During the visit, Sani spoke with local residents and attentively listened to their sufferings and grievances, he said.

Assuring the residents, Abdul Rahman Sani said that swift and effective measures would be taken to resolve the electricity crisis, and necessary instructions have already been issued to the concerned authorities.

Locals expressed hope that the initiative would soon bring an end to their long-standing electricity-related hardships.
