Tejgaon division police arrests 59 in 24hrs anti-crime drive

DHAKA, April 15, 2026 (BSS) - In a continued effort to maintain law and
order, the Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested
59 individuals in the past 24 hours for their alleged involvement in various
criminal activities.

According to a press release issued by DMP, the drive was conducted on
Wednesday across multiple thana areas under the Tejgaon Division.

The detainees were apprehended during routine drives targeting different
crime-prone zones.

Among the arrested, 4 were held from Tejgaon Police Station, 31 from
Mohammadpur Police Station, 5 each from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar and Adabor Police
Stations, 10 from Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station, and 4 from
Hatirjheel Police Station.

All arrested individuals have been sent to the appropriate court for further
legal proceedings, police officials confirmed.

The DMP authorities stated that such drive will continue as part of ongoing
efforts to curb crime and ensure public safety in the capital.
