New DCs appointed in two districts

DHAKA, April 15, 2026 (BSS) - The government appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in Sunamganj and Kishoreganj districts today.

Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Divisional Office of the Department of Social Services in Chattogram, Mohammad Minhajur Rahman, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Sunamganj.

Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Sohana Nasrin, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Kishoreganj, according to a notification issued by Ministry of Public Administration.

The following officers of the BCS (Administration) cadre have been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioners and District Magistrates in the districts mentioned alongside their names, the notification reads.

The order takes immediate effect, it said.
