KHULNA, Sept 8, 2025 (BSS) - Khulna police arrested four drug peddlers from different areas of the city and recovered 34 yaba pills from their possession within the last 24 hours.

The arrestees were identified as Maruf Akon, 33, Noyan Khan, 24, and Zahangir Hossain, 32, all residents of Labonchara, and Sheikh Shimul, 21, from Khalishpur.

A press release signed by Khondokar Hossain Ahmad, ADC (Media) of Khulna Metropolitan Police, confirmed the arrests this evening.

The operation was carried out from 6 pm on Sunday to 6 pm on Monday following a tip-off. During the drive, the suspects were apprehended and the yaba pills were seized.

Cases have been filed with Labonchara and Khalishpur police stations in connection with the arrests.
