SATKHIRA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) - An elderly man died from electrocution when climbing a coconut tree at Sujanshah village of Islamkati union under Tala upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Tayezuddin Morol, 65, a resident of the same area.    

He got electrocuted and fell from the tree around 9 am when trying to pick coconut, said Mainuddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tala Police Station.

He died on the spot, the OC said.
