Nabiyun wins pair of gold medals in China

DHAKA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS)- Skater Nabiyun Islam Prithi won two gold medals in 
the "Belt and Road China-ASEAN Speed Roller Skating City Invitational 
Tournament" that was held in Karamai City, Xinjiang Province in China.

Apart from Nabiyyun's pair of gold medals, Atahar Shihab Adit, participated 
for the Bangladesh team and won two silver medals.

Nabiyun Islam's performance was incredible in this competition organised 
under the supervision of the World Asia Skating and China Roller Skating 
Federation. 

This success, which took place on October 11 and 12, added a great chapter to 
the history of the Bangladesh Roller Skating Federation.

Competing in the Junior A group, Nabiyun won a pair of gold medals by placing 
first in the 500-meter speed race on the first day and the 1000-meter sprint 
race on the second day.

After a long seven years, Bangladesh Roller Skating Federation has written a 
success story by participating in an international speed skating event.
 
Bangladesh Roller Skating Federation General Secretary Md. Lutfar Rahman 
expressed his excitement by saying that: "Nabiyun performed with incredible 
skill at the Belt and Road Asian Roller Skating Competition in China. This 
victory is not only for Bangladesh, but also a milestone in the history of 
roller skating in Asia."
