Over 200 poor eye patients treated in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) - Over 200 poor eye patients were treated by a group of doctors at a daylong free eye camp at the district town here today.

The camp of free eye treatment and free cataract surgery was held at Bhai Bhai Manzil, adjacent to the town's CO office at the initiative of BNP National Executive Committee member Principal Alamgir Hossain under the supervision of Alhaj Abdus Sobhan Welfare Foundation. 

The day-long camp was inaugurated on Monday morning in collaboration with the local Rural GC Eye Hospital.

Pirojpur Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Matiur Rahman was present at the programme as the chief guest with Alhaj Abdus Sobhan Welfare Foundation Chairman Principal Alamgir Hossain in the chair.

Deputy Director of the District Family Planning Department Tuhin Kanti Ghosh was present as special guest at the event. 

In his speech, Civil Surgeon Dr. Matiur Rahman said, such humanitarian activities are undoubtedly commendable. The poor people will benefit from free medical services.
