Farmer killed in Gopalganj road accident

GOPALGANJ, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) - A farmer was killed after being hit by a bus while crossing the road in Gobra area of Sadar upazila today.

The deceased was Nannu Mollah, 45, son of Sona Mia Mollah, a resident of Bedgram area of the district town.

The accident took place this morning on the Gopalganj-Tungipara regional road when a bus hit Nannu, leaving him injured critically, said Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mir Mohammad Sajedur Rahman.

Later, locals rescued him and took him to the 250-bed General Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead. 

The body was handed over to his relatives after completing the legal process.
