MYMENSINGH, Sept 12, 2025 (BSS)- A mobile court, supported by Rapid Action Battalion, seized a large quantity of polythene from Mechua Bazar here yesterday.
Total quantity of the seized polythene is 5,446 kilograms, said Additional DIG Noymul Hasan of RAB-14.
During the drive the mobile court fined Shukria Enterprise Taka 10,000 for illegal storing and selling of the contraband item.
A mobile court led by Squadron Leader Shah Md Rashed Rahat of Mymensingh Sadar Company of RAB and Executive Magistrate Jakaria Hossain conducted the drive in the area from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm, RAB sources said.
During the drive 520 kg of polythene was recovered from a shop named Shukria Enterprise and 2,558 kg polythene was seized from its warehouse.
The mobile court also confiscated 1,039 kg of polythene from the warehouse of one Faruk and another 1,329 kg from a shop named BRB Cloth.
