Two killed, 10 injured in bus collision in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Sept 13, 2025 (BSS) - At least two people were killed and ten others injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses in Bhaluka upazila of the district early today.

The accident took place around 8:00 am in front of Tasrif Cotton Mills at Bharadoba on the Mymensingh-Dhaka highway.

Officer-in-Charge of Bhaluka Model Police Station Humayun Kabir said that police rushed to the scene upon receiving the news, recovered the bodies, and sent them to the police station. 

The injured were initially taken to Bhaluka Upazila Health Complex, while those critically wounded were later transferred to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment, he said.

He added that both buses involved in the accident have been seized. 

Police are currently investigating the incident and working to confirm the identities of the deceased, said the OC.
