One killed in Lakshmipur road accident

LAKSHMIPUR, Sept 13, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed and five others were injured when two CNG-run auto-rickshaws collided head-on in front of Hazirhat Upakul Government College in Kamalnagar upazila of the district last night.

The deceased was CNG driver Hasan, 30, son of Nur Solaiman Hossain of Sabuj village under Ramgati upazila of the district. 

The accident took place at midnight when two CNG-run auto-rickshaws collided head-on, leaving six people injured, said Md. Touhidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Kamalnagar Police Station. 

The injured were taken to Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital. Later, CNG driver Hasan was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated. He died at the hospital early this morning.
