JHENAIDAH, Sept 13, 2025 (BSS) - A man was electrocuted at Garabaria village under Maheshpur upazila of the district this noon.

The deceased was identified as Atiar Dafadar, 45, son of Fakir Dafadar of Garabaria Uttarpara of the upazila.

Atiar got electrocuted while working at his cousin's house. Locals rescued him and took him to Maheshpur Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. 

Maheshpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter and said the body of the deceased was handed over to the family members.
