TANGAIL, Sept 13, 2025 (BSS) - More than 150 meritorious students who achieved GPA-5 in SSC and equivalent examinations this year were accorded a reception at Mirzapur upazila of the district today.

The upazila and municipal units of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organized the programme at Mirzapur Shaheed Bhabani Prasad Saha Government College Auditorium this afternoon.

Abul Kalam Azad Siddiqui, former lawmaker and Children's Affairs Secretary of the BNP National Executive Committee, was present as the chief guest and handed over crests to the students.

Presided over by Upazila BNP acting president Advocate Abdur Rouf, the programme was addressed, among others, by Rajshahi University Professor Dr Md Fazlur Rahman, Upazila BNP general secretary Khandaker Salahuddin Arif, Municipal BNP general secretary SM Mohsin, and Upazila Secondary Teachers' Association president Atiqur Rahman.

Crests and commendation letters were handed over to the students of various educational institutions of the upazila.
