Two killed in separate road accidents in Patiya

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 13, 2025 (BSS) - Two people were killed in separate road accidents at Patiya upazila of the district today.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Patiya Police Station Wasim said that around 2.30 pm a chair coach of Purabi Paribahan collided head-on with a pickup van in Dighirpar area of Jalua in the upazila, leaving pickup van driver Abdul Quader, 42, dead on the spot. 

He is the son of Muhammad Kibria of Noakhali district. 

Earlier, a farmer named Sher Mohammad, 60, died on the spot when a Laguna hit him in Goirola-Tek area at 1.45 pm as he was crossing the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway on his way to work.

He is the son of late Abdul Hamid of the area. 

Patiya Crossing Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jasim Uddin said police recovered the bodies.
