Monthly meeting of Magura District Law and Order Committee held

MAGURA, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS) - The monthly meeting of the District Law and Order Committee was held this morning at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office here. 

Deputy Commissioner Md Ohidul Islam presided over the meeting, while Superintendent of Police Mina Mahmuda, Civil Surgeon Dr Md Shamim Kabir, UNOs of the four upazilas of the district, and leaders of several political and social organizations attended.

The Deputy Commissioner said that everyone must work together to maintain law and order in the district and to prevent the menace of drugs. He informed that directives had been issued to shut down illegal brick kilns in the upcoming winter season.

Superintendent of Police Mina Mahmuda said anti-drug drives were being conducted regularly across the district. She affirmed that law enforcement agencies are fully committed to ensuring public safety. She also mentioned that regular drives and mobile courts are being carried out to control illegal vehicles on the roads.
