Woman's severed body recovered from rail track in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS) - Police recovered the severed body of a woman, who was allegedly run over by a train in the Jamtoli area under Naldanga union in Sadullapur Upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon. 

Police said the body of the woman, aged around 40, was found severed. She may have been run over by a train. 

Upon being informed, members of Balashighat police outpost rushed to the spot, recovered the body parts and sent them to Gaibandha General Hospital for an autopsy. 

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, said Abdul Goni, in-charge of Balashighat police outpost.
