Programmes taken to mark World Children’s Day, Child Rights Week in Khulna

KHULNA, Sept 25, 2025 (BSS) – The Khulna District Administration and angladesh Shishu Academy have announced a series of programs to mark World Children’s Day and Child Rights Week 2025.

The week-long observance will begin on October 6 with an inauguration, discussion meeting, and cultural program on the district Shishu Academy premises, according to a handout issued by the Khulna Press Information Department (PID).
On October 7, a quiz competition will be held at Mujgunni Child Development Centre at 4 pm for children from Shishu Academy-run centres only.

National Girl Child Day will be observed with a rally, discussion meeting, cultural event, and a general dance competition at the Shishu Academy office on October 8.

A painting competition is scheduled for October 9 at 4 pm, while on October 11 at 3 pm, a music competition on patriotic songs will be held in three categories. On the same day, a poetry recitation contest will also be organized.

On October 13 at 10 am, a seminar on “Children’s Education, Health, and Mental Well-being” will be held at Khulna Collectorate Public School and College with the participation of students from 10 schools and madrasas. The discussion will also address child protection, development, and future responsibilities.

The week-long observance will conclude on October 14 with a closing ceremony, discussion meeting, cultural program, and prize distribution at the district Shishu Academy office.

Children interested in participating must complete registration at least 30 minutes before each competition.
The Shishu Academy will provide paper for the art contest, while participants must bring their own art supplies.
