DHAKA, Sept 25, 2025 (BSS)-  Pacer Taskin Ahmed became the third Bangladesh
bowler to take 100 wickets in T20 International during his side's crucial
Asia Cup contest against Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium
today.

Taskin who began the match with 99 wickets, grabbed three for 28 runs and
thereby reached the milestone after Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman.

His feat came in just fourth ball of the Pakistan innings when he had
Shahibzada Farhan caught by Rishad Hossain at point. He reached the landmark
in his 81 matches.

Later he took two more wickets, dismissing Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad
Nawaz to end with 3-28.

Shakib had 149 wickets from 129 matches, a record that Mustafizur toppled
yesterday during the match against India.

Mustafizur also took one wicket in this match to reach 151 wickets in 118
matches.
