Police rescues 100-bag stolen rice in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, Sept 26, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Manikganj Sadar Police Station rescued 100 bags of stolen rice from Singair upazila of the district in the early hours of today. 

"The team also detained a pickup from the spot," said SM Aman Ullah, officer-in-charge (OC) of Manikganj Sadar Police Station

On secret information directed by the OC, a team of Singair Police Station started to search the vehicles which were moving towards the Singair.

At the time, the thieves left the pick-up loaded with stolen rice from the shop named Tanuratna and fled the scene. 

The police detained the pickup and seized the rice at about 2am today, the OC added.
