SHERPUR, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - Two persons were killed and four others injured in separate road accidents in Sadar and Nakla upazilas of the district last night.

The deceased are Ahsan, 55, son of late Khoka Mia of Kumari area under Bajitkhila union in Sadar upazila and Mohiron Begum, 54, wife of late Rafiz Uddin, a resident of Dakshin Ramerkandi village under Talki union in Nakla upazila.

Ahsan died on the spot and four others were injured when a passenger bus hit a battery-run easy bike from opposite direction around 11 pm in Kumari Battoli area of ??Sadar upazila, 

Among the injured, easy bike driver Mamun, 25, has been sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and the others were taken to a local hospital.

Another accident occurred around 8 pm on the Dhaka-Sherpur highway in Nakla upazila when a bus ran over Mohiron Begum while she was returning home after attending a wedding in Badagoir area of the upazila.

She died on the spot.

Additional Superintendent of Police Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan confirmed the matters.
