ACC files case over forcible occupation of tribal land in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, Sept 30, 2025 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against four individuals for allegedly fabricating documents and committing corruption to illegally change the ownership of land belonging to a tribal community at Bochaganj upazila in Dinajpur.

Assistant Director of the ACC Dinajpur district office Md Ismail Hossain filed the case as the plaintiff this afternoon.

Md Ataur Rahman, Deputy Director of the ACC Dinajpur office confirmed the matter.

The accused are Abdul Khalek, 45, son of Guli Mohammad and three sons of Taij Uddin Mollah - Abdul Latif Mollah, 58, Abdus Salam Pintu, 55 and Abul Kalam Ripon, 50, all residents of Mushidhat village in Bochaganj upazila.

According to the complaint, the accused allegedly colluded to fabricate 20 documents to illegally transfer the title of 23 acres 31 cents of tribal land.

The ACC investigation team has been conducting on-site visits since February 2021, recording witness testimonies, examining the 20 documents prepared by the accused, and reviewing the original land ownership records of the tribal community.

ACC Assistant Director, Md Ismail Hossain has been appointed as the Investigating Officer (IO) in the case.
