Farmer dies of electrocution in Khulna

KHULNA, Oct 6, 2025 (BSS): A farmer died after being electrocuted in Dakop upazila of Khulna on Monday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Milton Bakchi, 26, son of late Delip Bakchi of Khona village under Pankhali Union of the upazila.

According to Sheikh Sabbir Hossain, chairman of Pankhali Union Parishad, Milton was accidentally electrocuted while trying to unplug a wire from his house's electric line after returning from his vegetable field around 4 pm.

Hearing his screams, Milton's wife rushed inside and found him lying on the floor. Neighbours took him to Dakop Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty physician Dr Sudip Bala declared him dead.
