2 held with smuggled Indian sarees in Narayanganj

NARAYANGANJ, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested two men and seized huge smuggled Indian sarees from Kutubpur Pagla Bazar area in Fatullah thana of the district in the early hours of today.

On a tip-off, a team of Coast Guard raided the area and seized 620 pieces of smuggled Indian sarees worth about Taka 85.59 lakh, said a press release here today.

They also seized the truck and arrested two men.

The arrestees were handed over to local police station while the seized sarees were handed over to Bangshal Circle Customs.
