Police training workshop held in Khulna

KHULNA, Oct 16, 2025 (BSS) - A special training workshop aimed at enhancing the efficiency and capability of police personnel in carrying out election duties was held yesterday afternoon at the Police Lines in Boyra in the city.

The workshop, organized as part of the preparation for the upcoming national elections. 

Additional Inspector General of Armed Police Battalion Md. Ali Hossain Fakir addressed the event as the chief guest.

The Additional IGP emphasized the importance of professionalism, honesty, and efficiency at all levels of the police force to ensure that the forthcoming national elections are conducted freely, fairly, and impartially.

He urged every member of the force to perform their duties with a sense of responsibility, integrity, and respect for the rule of law. 

He further noted that the training would enhance the participants' practical knowledge and skills, enabling them to manage law and order more effectively during the election period and to discharge their responsibilities at polling stations efficiently.

Among others, Deputy Police Commissioner M.M. Shakiluzzaman, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner Shamima Akter Sumi, and other participating officers were present at the event.
