RAB arrests 3 drug dealers with phensedyl, ganja in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 24, 2025 (BSS) - RAB during an anti-drug operation in the Chandgaon police station area arrested three professional drug dealers along with 198 bottles of phensedyl and 50 kg of ganja.

RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) A. R. M. Mozaffar Hossain confirmed the incident on Friday, stating that the raid was conducted based on secret information. The operation took place on Arakan Road near the Sharafat Ullah Petrol Pump area of Chandgaon police station around 9:30 pm on Thursday night.

The arrested drug dealers were - Mizanur Rahman (37), Md. Shahidul Islam (25), and Md. Jasim Uddin (28), he said.

Upon sensing the presence of RAB men, the drug dealers attempted to flee riding a CNG auto-rickshaw. 

The phensidyl bottles and marijuana found in their possession were hidden in bags inside the CNG vehicle. The estimated value of the seized drugs is around Taka four lakh. 

The suspects, along with the confiscated drugs and CNG auto-rickshaw, have been handed over to Chandgaon police station for further legal proceedings.
