Free medical camp held in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) - A day-long free medical camp, organized by Monno Medical College and Hospital held yesterday at Bandutia Aftab Uddin Memorial High School under Manikganj municipality.

The camp was inaugurated by Afroza Khanam Rita, Chairman of Monno Group of Industries.

Around 2,000 men, women and children received free healthcare services in ten specialized sections, including medicine, surgery, cardiology, gynecology and obstetrics, dentistry, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and neonatal care.

A total of 20 specialist physicians and more than 40 nurses provided medical services throughout the day.

Principal of Monno Medical College and Hospital Professor Dr Abdul Karim, Director Brigadier General (Retd) Dr Zulfikar Ahmed Amin, Vice Principal Professor Dr Borhan Uddin Ahmed, Orthopedic Specialist Dr Moniruzzaman Manik, Dental Specialist Dr Kudrat-e-Hasan, and Surgery Specialist Assistant Professor Dr Jesmin Arif, among others, were present on the occasion.

Speaking at the event, Professor Abdul Karim said serving humanity is the greatest virtue, and we have been working to support the underprivileged as part of its social responsibility.

Patients who received treatment at the camp will also be entitled to special facilities at Monno Medical College and Hospital in the future, according to the organizers.
