Seeds, fertilizers distributed among farmers in Naogaon

NAOGAON, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) – Seeds and chemical fertilizers were distributed today among small and marginal farmers in Raninagar upazila.

The Upazila Agriculture Extension Department organized the inaugural ceremony at the Upazila Farmers Training Hall this morning.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Rakibul Hasan attended the function as the chief guest with Upazila Agriculture Officer Mostakima Khatun in the chair.

The incentives were distributed among small and marginal farmers with the aim of increasing the cultivation and production of wheat, mustard, boro paddy, sunflower, groundnut, winter onion, moong, lentil, and other crops during the Rabi season.

Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Zahidul Islam, Deputy Government Plant Protection Officer Nazmul Huda, and Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officers Aminul Islam and Alamgir Hossain, among others, were present.

According to the Upazila Agriculture Department, 500 farmers will receive wheat seeds, 4,200 mustard, 20 sunflower, 10 groundnut, 30 onion, 30 moong, and 20 lentil seeds and fertilizers.

On the inauguration day, 100 farmers were given incentive fertilizer and seeds. The distribution of the incentives will be completed within the next 10 days.
