KHULNA, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) - BNP central executive committee’s information and research secretary Azizul Bari Helal has alleged that a “second-tier political party” was using religion for political gain.

“Since the Awami League is no longer in the field, another group is trying to sell religion for politics,” he said while addressing a BNP women’s rally at Terokhada Girls’ High School premises in Khulna’s Terokhada upazila on Saturday evening.

Helal reiterated that BNP has always worked for the welfare of the people, promising that if elected, the party would create jobs for one crore unemployed youths, modernize agriculture, and establish cold storage facilities in the region.

He urged all especially the members of BNP’s women’s wing, to work door-to-door to promote the party’s 31-point program.

Kohinur Begum, President of Terokhada Upazila Mohila Dal, chaired the meeting while Fatema Begum, the unit’s general secretary, conducted the session.
