DMP files 1,243 cases against traffic rules violators

DHAKA, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) – The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed a total of 1,243 cases against motor vehicles and drivers for violating traffic rules in the capital in the last 24 hours.

The DMP has been conducting drives against traffic violations in the city to bring the traffic system under proper management, according to a statement from the DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman issued the statement here today.

It said that 309 vehicles were dumped and 93 others were wrecked during the campaign on October 25.

The DMP release further said that such drives against traffic rule violators will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka’s streets.
