Khulna city BNP announces 7-day programmes marking National Revolution and Solidarity Day

KHULNA, Nov 4, 2025 (BSS) – Khulna city unit BNP has taken a seven-day programme to mark the historic National Revolution and Solidarity Day on November 7.

The decision came at an emergency meeting of the city BNP’s front and associate organisations held today with city BNP president Advocate Shafiqul Alam Mona in the chair. 

The programmes include documentary exhibitions on the historic day at key points of the city, to be organized by the city Jubo Dal, on November 6.

A colourful rally will start from Zia Hall premises at Shibbari intersection at 4 pm and end at Royal Square via KDA Avenue on November 7.

A public meeting highlighting the significance of the day will be held at Shaheed Hadis Park at 3.30 pm on November 8.

Food distribution by city Olama Dal at Abu Hanif Orphanage at noon, followed by a discussion meeting of the Mohila Dal at the BNP office at 4 pm on November 9.

The Krishak Dal will distribute tree saplings in front of the BNP office on November 10.

JASAS will organize cultural event at Shaheed Hadis Park, on November 11 and a public meeting will be held at Khalishpur under the initiative of the regional Sramik Dal on November 14.

Addressing the meeting, Advocate Mona said the historic uprising of November 7, 1975, was a people-soldier revolution that freed the country from external influence and established the path of multi-party democracy.

City BNP general secretary Shafiqul Alam Tuhin said, “The people of Bangladesh dream of building an effective, powerful and democratic state, being inspired with scarifies of the martyrs of the July–August revolution and the spirit of the Liberation War.”

Among others, BNP leaders Syeda Nargis Ali, Sheikh Sadi, Md Masud Parvez Babu, Chowdhury Hasanur Rashid Miraj, Hafizur Rahman Moni, Murshid Kamal, Farid Ahmed Molla, Asaduzzaman Asad, and freedom fighter Md Alamgir also spoke at the meeting.
