DAB organizes free medical camp in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, Nov 5, 2025 (BSS) - A day-long free medical camp organized by the Doctors' Association of Bangladesh (DAB) in Narsingdi today provided healthcare services to thousands of patients with the support of 12 specialist doctors.

The camp was held at Saterpara Kali Kumar Playground in Narsingdi town.

BNP Joint Secretary General and President of Narsingdi District BNP Khairul Kabir Khokon inaugurated the event.

According to DAB, the initiative is part of Tarique Rahman's 31-point welfare program, aimed at raising public awareness and providing humanitarian support amid the rising spread of dengue and chikungunya across the country.

Specialists in pediatrics, neonatology, gastroenterology, internal medicine, neurology, gynecology, cardiology, orthopedics, and other fields provided consultations and treatment throughout the day. Patients of all ages received medical care.

The program was presided over by Dr. M.S.S. Hasan Al Zameer, President of DAB Narsingdi District Branch, with Professor Dr. Farhad Halim Donar, Chief Adviser of DAB, attending as the Chief Guest.

Other dignitaries present included Professor Dr. Harun Al Rashid, President of the DAB Central Committee; Dr. Md. Zahirul Islam Shakil, Secretary General; Syed Amirul Haque Shamim, Civil Surgeon of Narsingdi; Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Superintendent of Narsingdi District Hospital; Shirin Sultana, BNP Central Committee Secretary for Self-Reliance Affairs; Manzur Elahi, General Secretary of Narsingdi BNP; Vice Presidents Harun Or Rashid, B.G. Rashid Naosher, Golam Kabir Kamal; and Dr. Nurullah Al Masud, General Secretary of DAB Narsingdi District Branch, among others.
