FENI, Nov 17, 2025 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 28 kg of ganja from Hazari Road on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway last night.

The arrested were Md. Rimon Hossain, 20, son of Afjal Hossain, a resident of Bhulain village in Daspara, Sadar Dakshin, Cumilla and Shahin Hossain Shamim, 19, son of late Abdul Wahab of Chauddagram upazila in Cumilla district.

A joint team of RAB-7 and RAB-11, based on a tip-off about drugs being brought in a microbus coming from Comilla to Chittagong, set up a temporary check post on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway and intercepted a microbus and arrested the duo along with the ganja, a RAB press release said.

The arrested accused, along with the recovered ganja and seized vehicle, were handed over to the Feni Model Police Station this afternoon.

They were sent to jail in the afternoon through the court, said a source from Feni Model Police Station.
