
PATUAKHALI, Nov 25, 2025 (BSS) - The Kuakata Municipal Jubo Dal organized a free medical camp on Tuesday at Orka Palli in Ward No. 1 of the municipality, providing healthcare services and free medicines to more than 500 low-income residents.
The day-long camp began at 10 am, drawing a significant turnout from locals seeking medical consultation and treatment. Organizers stated that the initiative aimed to ensure healthcare access for marginalized communities in the coastal region.
Kuakata Municipal Jubo Dal president Syed Mohammad Faruk inaugurated and presided over the event. Alhaj ABM Mosharraf Hossain, BNP's nominated candidate for the Patuakhali-4 (Kalapara-Rangabali) constituency and Central BNP Training Affairs Secretary, attended as the chief guest.
Kuakata Municipality BNP president Alhaj Abdul Aziz Musulli, Kalapara Upazila BNP senior vice president Zafruzzaman Khokon, Mahipur Thana BNP president Abdul Jalil Howlader, general secretary Advocate Shahjahan Parvez, Latachapoli Union BNP president Mohiuddin Musulli Sultan, Kuakata Municipality BNP general secretary Matiur Rahman and Kuakata Press Club president Ruman Imtiaz Tushar were present, among others.
Speaking at the event, Jubo Dal President Syed Mohammad Faruk said this initiative has been taken to help low-income people access necessary medical services and such humanitarian activities will continue.
Throughout the camp, experienced physicians diagnosed and treated diseases including diabetes, high blood pressure, cold-related illnesses, and skin conditions. At the end of the camp, more than 500 patients received free medicines.
