
DHAKA, Nov 30, 2025 (BSS) - Mohammadpur police have arrested four drug
traders and recovered 7,800 pieces of yaba tablets from the Geneva camp area
in the capital.
The arrested are Md Sadek, 24, Md Ramjan, 25, Syed Nur, 25, and Md Nasir
Uddin, 19, according to a press release issued by the DMP's media and public
relations division here today.
Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur
Rahman issued the release.
He said four drug traders came from Cox's Bazar Rohingya camp bearing yaba
tablets on their bodies.
Based on secret information, a special drive was conducted at the Geneva camp
by Mohammadpur police on yesterday and nabbed the four with the contraband
items.
After searching their bodies, the police team found 7,800 pieces of yaba
tablets, the release said.
Legal procedure is underway against the arrested people, it added.
