MANIKGANJ, Dec 4, 2025 (BSS) - A round table conference on strengthening democracy was held today at the conference room of Manikganj District Council under the auspices of the 'Shujan' Manikganj District Committee.

Zillur Rahman, Joint Coordinator of the Shujan Central Committee, attended the conference as the chief guest. The event was moderated by Zahangir Alam Biswas, Secretary of the Shujan Manikganj District Committee.

Speakers emphasized that the next national election should be held in a peaceful environment, allowing voters to freely choose their candidates. They stressed that democracy must be restored through the active and conscious participation of the people.

The discussion, chaired by Prof. Intaj Uddin, was attended by former District Education Officer Md Abdul Monnaf Khan, journalists Zahidul Haque Chandan, Retired Prof. Abdul Matin Biswas, Giash Uddin Nannu, Shohana Akter, Abul Bashar Abbasy, Abdul Khalek, Jasim Uddin, Akram Hossain, and Ahsanul Kabir Dollar, along with people from various classes.
