
RANGPUR, Dec 5, 2025 (BSS) - Zia Sangsad's Rangpur unit organised a doa
mehfil to pray for the speedy recovery and recovery of former Prime Minister
and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in the city.
Rangpur unit Zia Sangsad organizer Shahed Iqbal presided over the event held
at the old BNP lane in the city on Thursday evening.
Former general secretary of Zia Sangsad, Rangpur and associate professor of
Rangpur Medical College Dr Alimul Hasan Sagar moderated the event.
Senior joint convener of Rangpur Metropolitan BNP and former general
secretary of Carmichael College Central Students Union Md Shahidul Islam Mizu
attended the doa mehfil as the chief guest.
The chief guest at the doa mehfil said that three-times elected prime
minister Begum Khaleda Zia is not just the leader of a political party, she
is an important name in the struggle to establish democracy in the country.
"As the country's uncompromising nationalist leader, Begum Zia became the
leader of the people of Bangladesh through her immense contribution to the
struggle for democracy. Her role is crucial in shaping a new Bangladesh after
the mass uprising," he said.
The leaders, workers and activists of the Zia Sangsad, BNP and its affiliated
organisations present in the event prayed for speedy recovery of Begum
Khaleda Zia and also sought special prayers from the people of Rangpur and
the countrymen.
Qwari Mohammad Ataul Haque conducted special munajats seeking speedy recovery
of Begum Khaeda Zia, her long life and sound health in the doa mehfil.
