Dhaka, Dec 15, 2025 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a drug trader and seized 2,000 yaba tablets from a residential area Turag city residential area in the city today.

The arrestee identified as Sheikh Moinuddin Azam alias Azam, 28.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Muhammad Talebur Rahman, said that the police conducted a drive against drugs and drug traders in the city.

He added that as part of the drive, a DB team of Gulshan division carried out a raid in Turag city at 7:05am and nabbed Azam.

Police said legal action against the arrestee is underway.
