Doa-mahfil held in Barguna for Khaleda Zia’s recovery

BARGUNA, Dec 17, 2025 (BSS) – A doa-mahfil was held in Barguna today seeking the recovery and sound health of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

The programme was organised by Barguna Sadar Upazila unit of the Barguna Secondary Teachers’ Association and held at Adarsha Secondary Girls’ School in Barguna municipality at 4:00 pm.

Former headmaster of Roadpara Secondary School Harun-or-Rashid presided over the doa mahfil.

BNP National Executive Committee member and BNP-nominated candidate for Barguna-1 constituency Nazrul Islam Molla addressed the programme as the chief guest.

District BNP Member Secretary SM Humayun Hasan Shahin, former municipal mayor Delwar Hossain Montu, former joint general secretary of district BNP Habibur Rahman Panna and district Assistant Teachers’ Council general secretary Jasim Uddin spoke as special guests.

 Special prayers were also offered seeking the speedy recovery and long life of Begum Khaleda Zia.
