Arms, ammunition recovered in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, Feb 3, 2026 (BSS) – Joint forces recovered arms and ammunition from the Lesraganj Bridge area of Harirampur upazila in the district last night during a special drive conducted with the participation of the army and police.

Acting on a tip-off, the joint forces carried out the drive in the area and recovered a firearm, five bombs, and several lethal weapons, said Lieutenant Colonel Wasim Akram of the East Bengal Regiment at a press briefing today. 

He said that the drive would continue to help maintain a peaceful atmosphere for holding a free, fair, and participatory national election.

Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) Abdullah Al Masud, Mohor Ali, and Abdullah Al Mamun were present on the occasion.
