Six held with huge drugs in Kurigram, Rangpur

RANGPUR Feb 6, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in three separate anti-drug drives seized huge contraband drugs and arrested six alleged drug 
dealers from different places of Kurigram and Rangpur districts on Thursday.
 
The seized contraband drugs included 5.1kgs of ganja, 99 bottles of phensidyle and 87 pieces of Yaba tablets, a press release said here tonight.

The arrestees were identified as Md Nasir Uddin, 32, of village Dakshin Ramkhana and Md Alamgir, 35, of village Ramkhana Dighirpar under Nageswari 
upazila of Kurigram, Shuvo Mia, 21, and Md Ramzan Ali, 19, of village Talpatti Harin Chhora under Sadar upazila of Lalmonirhat, Md Nazmul Sarkar, 42, and Md Ashraful Islam, 53, of Kabilpur Gangjowar village under Pirganj upazila of Rangpur.

After filing three separate cases in these incidents, the elite force handed over the arrested persons and seized drugs to the concerned police station for further legal action, the release added.
